Loom Towels creates hand-loomed bath and beach towels using traditional craftsmanship and the highest quality GOTS certified organic cotton and dyes.

Each towel is slowly woven by hand on old shuttle-looms in a family-run workshop in Turkey, keeping with traditional methods including hand-tied fringing and tassels. There is no factory involvement.

The intricate double-loop weave, which can only be achieved by hand-looming, lends extra absorbency and softness.

Organic & Sustainable

Loom Towels uses cotton and dyes that are GOTS certified organic. The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is the worldwide leading textile processing standard for organic fibres. It's backed up by independent certification and includes ecological and social criteria.

All Loom Towels practices are sustainable, ethical and fair trade from start to end.

The towels can literally last for decades if cared for properly, in fact the more you use and wash them, the softer and more absorbent they will become. Try them...you'll be as obsessed as we are.

STORY

With an innate love of textiles and strong values in sustainability and craftsmanship, Mikala James founded Loom Towels in 2011.

Mikala works with one of the last remaining family-run workshops in Southern Turkey that still practices traditional hand-looming.

Each collection is designed by Mikala and combines her sense of style, blending inspiration from the traditional craft with a modern vibe.
